Western Cape Sport Association for the Physically Disabled (WCSAPD) is the Provincial Federation in the Western Cape. WCSAPD was officially registered in 2017 when Government divided provinces into Districts,
however, Sport for the Physically Disabled has been active in the Western Cape and in South Africa for over 40years. WCSAPD is also affiliated to our National body SASAPD, and affiliated to SASCOC and the IPC (International Paralympic Committee), IBSA and IWAS allowing various international sport participation.
The Western Cape is divided into 6 Districts, namely, Cape Metro, Cape Winelands, Eden, Klein Karoo, Overberg and West Coast. However, presently we are only active in the Cape Metro, Cape Winelands and Eden. Our sport caters for persons with physical incapacities and those with visual incapacities. Our vision is to encourage all our athletes to grow, develop and participate in sport which would bring out the best in each person and in each sport code that is available for person with incapacities.
